Celebrating 90 Years of Impact: Boys & Girls Clubs of Johnson County Invites Alumni Back to Franklin

For nearly 90 years , the Boys & Girls Clubs of Johnson County has been a cornerstone of the Franklin, Indiana community—providing a safe, supportive place where kids and teens learn, grow, and build the confidence to succeed.

As we approach this important milestone, we are taking time to reflect on the people who helped shape our story— our alumni .

If you ever walked through the doors of the Franklin Boys & Girls Club , played a game in the gym, received help with homework, or built lifelong friendships here, you are part of our legacy .

A Legacy Built by Club Kids—Then and Now

Since opening our doors in Franklin, IN, the Boys & Girls Club has focused on helping young people reach their full potential as productive, caring, and responsible citizens. That mission remains just as strong today.

Our programs are intentionally designed to support three key outcomes:

Academic Success

Helping youth graduate on time, stay motivated to learn, and prepare for today’s workforce through programs like Power Hour , Digital Literacy , STEM , and academic enrichment.

Healthy Lifestyles

Encouraging social, emotional, and physical well-being through sports, recreation, wellness activities, and healthy decision-making.

Good Character & Citizenship

Building leadership skills, confidence, and a sense of responsibility so Club kids grow into adults who give back to their communities.

From arts and media making to STEM, leadership development, and career readiness, today’s Club continues to evolve—while staying rooted in the same values alumni remember.

Summer Madness 2026 Is Opening Soon at the Boys & Girls Club of Johnson County

Families in Franklin, Indiana —get ready for a summer filled with fun, learning, and unforgettable memories. Summer Madness 2026 at the Boys & Girls Clubs of Johnson County officially opens for registration on February 17, 2026 , and spots fill quickly each year.

Our 10-week summer program is designed to give kids a safe, structured, and engaging place to grow all summer long—while giving parents peace of mind.

What Is Summer Madness?

Summer Madness is the Boys & Girls Club’s signature summer program, serving youth throughout Johnson County with a full schedule of activities focused on:

Academic Success
Healthy Lifestyles
Good Character & Citizenship

These outcomes guide everything we do—from daily schedules and themed activities to enrichment programs and staff support. Our approach follows a continuous quality improvement model that allows us to assess youth needs, plan intentionally, and improve impact throughout the summer.

Program Options for Summer Madness 2026

We offer flexible options to meet the needs of working families and summer schedules.

�� Full-Time Summer Madness (Extended Care)

Schedule: 7:00 AM – 6:00 PM
Length: 10 weeks
Cost: $1,000 for the full summer
Registration Fee: $200

This option is ideal for families needing full-day care throughout the summer.

�� 10:00 AM – 4:00 PM Program (No Field Trips)

Schedule: 10:00 AM – 4:00 PM
Cost: $110 per week

A structured, enrichment-focused day without off-site trips.

�� 10:00 AM – 4:00 PM Program (With Field Trips)

Schedule: 10:00 AM – 4:00 PM
Cost: $190 per week

Includes weekly field trips and special experiences that bring learning to life.

What Kids Experience During Summer Madness

Every day at Summer Madness is intentionally planned to balance learning, creativity, movement, and fun.

Daily Program Highlights

Morning assembly with games and daily kick-off
Rotations by age group , including:
Active play & recreation
Arts & creative expression
STEM and digital literacy
Life skills (including cooking and garden activities)
Lunch and pool time (Monday–Thursday)
Afternoon enrichment & free choice activities

Special visitors, themed weeks, and Clubs within the Club (like media making and arts) keep each week fresh and exciting.

Weekly Themes & Field Trips

Summer Madness includes weekly themes and optional field trips , giving kids something new to look forward to each week. From creative arts and STEM exploration to community adventures and hands-on learning, these experiences help prevent summer learning loss while keeping kids engaged and excited.

Take a few moments to plan your post

Once you have a great idea for a post, write the first draft. Some people like to start with the title and then work on the paragraphs. Other people like to start with subtitles and go from there. Choose the method that works for you.

Don’t forget to add images
