Families in Franklin, Indiana—get ready for a summer filled with fun, learning, and unforgettable memories. Summer Madness 2026 at the Boys & Girls Clubs of Johnson County officially opens for registration on February 17, 2026, and spots fill quickly each year.
Our 10-week summer program is designed to give kids a safe, structured, and engaging place to grow all summer long—while giving parents peace of mind.
What Is Summer Madness?
Summer Madness is the Boys & Girls Club’s signature summer program, serving youth throughout Johnson County with a full schedule of activities focused on:

Program Options for Summer Madness 2026
We offer flexible options to meet the needs of working families and summer schedules.
🕖 Full-Time Summer Madness (Extended Care)
- Schedule: 7:00 AM – 6:00 PM
- Length: 10 weeks
- Cost: $1,000 for the full summer
- Registration Fee: $200
This option is ideal for families needing full-day care throughout the summer.
🕙 10:00 AM – 4:00 PM Program (No Field Trips)
- Schedule: 10:00 AM – 4:00 PM
- Cost: $110 per week
A structured, enrichment-focused day without off-site trips.
🚌 10:00 AM – 4:00 PM Program (With Field Trips)
- Schedule: 10:00 AM – 4:00 PM
- Cost: $190 per week
Includes weekly field trips and special experiences that bring learning to life.
What Kids Experience During Summer Madness
Every day at Summer Madness is intentionally planned to balance learning, creativity, movement, and fun.
Daily Program Highlights
- Morning assembly with games and daily kick-off
- Rotations by age group, including:
- Active play & recreation
- Arts & creative expression
- STEM and digital literacy
- Life skills (including cooking and garden activities)
- Lunch and pool time (Monday–Thursday)
- Afternoon enrichment & free choice activities
Special visitors, themed weeks, and Clubs within the Club (like media making and arts) keep each week fresh and exciting.
Weekly Themes & Field Trips
Summer Madness includes weekly themes and optional field trips, giving kids something new to look forward to each week. From creative arts and STEM exploration to community adventures and hands-on learning, these experiences help prevent summer learning loss while keeping kids engaged and excited.
