Johnson County's premier community kids' events

We are excited to provide this event to promote healthy lifestyles for the children of our community. The KIDS’ TRIATHLON features a 25-yard swim,  a 1.1-mile bike ride and concludes with a half mile run.

Registration for the event opens on April 1st and can be completed online through the Boys & Girls Clubs of Johnson County website, www.bgcf.net. The registration fee for the Kids’ Triathlon is $50, with entries and payment due by May 26th, 2024.


With participation growing year after year, the Kids’ Triathlon has become a cherished tradition for families across Johnson County, offering a day of fun, fitness, and community spirit.


At the conclusion of the race, once the results have been tallied, there will be a presentation of trophies to the top finishers in each age/gender category (5/6, 7/8, 9/10, 11/12, and 13/14)

Registration

  • What ages is this Triathlon for?

    This event is open to all youth ages 5-14.

  • Does my child have to know how to swim?

    There are two swimming divisions. If your child is not a strong swimmer, they can compete with a life jacket on and must be able to complete a 25-yard swim (50 yards for ages 12-14).

  • Where does the event take place?

    The event will take place at the Franklin Middle School, 625 Grizzly Cub Dr, Franklin, IN 46131

  • Does my child have to have a bike to participate

    Yes, all participants must have a bicycle in good working order, without training wheels. No balance bikes, please. 

  • How is the event set up?

    Participants will dive into action with a 25-yard swim (50 yards for ages 12-14), with or without a life jacket, followed by a 1.1-mile bike ride and a half-mile run.

  • Can I get a full refund?

    Unfortunately, all sales are final
